Customer assistance tools
At Heartland we are proud to have helped more than 25,000 Kiwis over 60 live a better retirement through a reverse mortgage.
We aim to provide customers with peace of mind and take our duty of care seriously. In line with this, we foster awareness of elder financial abuse among our people, including ensuring we’re aware of undue influence and unconscionable conduct, and take steps to both detect and prevent its occurrence where possible.
Elder financial abuse is any financial harm suffered by an elder caused by someone whom they trust and/or depend on. It can take many forms and may consist of a number of actions over a period of time rather than an isolated incident.
If you feel you are experiencing elder financial abuse you can contact your local Age Concern for assistance.
